Reimbursement and Cancellation Policy

1. Individual registration fee cancellation requests from delegates representing IALA members (national, industrial, associate and honorary), institutional sponsors (national or foreign) and industrial exhibitors must be made in writing and sent to email¹: financeiro_iala@fundacaofemar.org.br and payment@iala-brazil2023.rio.br and will be analyzed individually.

2. Cancellation requests can be made at any time. However, refunds will comply with the following policy:

2.1 Individual registration of delegates representing IALA Members (National, Industrial, Associated and Honorary).

Refunds will be made by credit card chargeback or bank transfer, minus the cancellation fee, depending on the original payment method.

For international refunds:

The conversion of amounts in reais (BRL) into foreign currency will be carried out according to the exchange rate on the date of reimbursement, deducting the cancellation fee.

2.2 Institutional Sponsors

Changes and cancellations will comply with the contractual clauses of the respective sponsorship contracts signed.

2.3 Industrial Exhibitors

Consumer Defense Code - which guarantees a period of 07 days for the consumer to withdraw from the contract. Art. 49 of Law 8078/1990

3. In the event of cancellation of the event for reasons of unforeseeable circumstances or force majeure, the amounts received will be refunded from the charge on the credit card or by bank transfer, deducting the taxes and fees applicable to the financial refund transaction.

4. Refunds will be processed two weeks after the Conference.

5. Disputes will be resolved extrajudicially by the Conference organization and/or judicially in the Federal Court, Judicial Section of Rio de Janeiro – RJ.

Comments:

^¹ The e-mail requesting the cancellation must inform the registration number, bank details for receiving the refund and indicate as the “Subject” of the e-mail the standardized word “CANCELLATION”.

In free text:

“Registration number xxx, I request cancellation.
I reiterate that I am aware of and in full agreement with the terms set forth in the IALA-Brazil 2023 Refund and Cancellation Policy.
Justification can also be inserted:
(If the registrant wants to explain his reasons for evaluating the organization of the Conference)”
